Hand-washed vegetable-tanned lambskin dyed after the jacket was already sewn. The color settled where it wanted - charcoal in the valleys, near-black on the ridges.

Giorgio Brato belongs to Bologna's multi-generational leather lineage - families who built motorcycle jackets for riders before "luxury leather" existed as a category. This biker jacket carries that history forward through an old technique: tinto in capo, the garment-dyed method where the finished jacket is hand-colored and hand-washed in rotating drums. The dye concentrates in the seams and folds, creating organic variation no two jackets share. What arrives is leather that already looks lived-in, blistered with character, as if you discovered it in a legendary musician's closet decades after the final tour.

The leather itself is impossibly soft - weightless lambskin that drapes rather than armors, warm against skin within seconds. Run your hand across the surface: the grain shifts from soft sheen to velvety matte, the natural pebbling textured under fingertips. The band collar closes with an antiqued gunmetal snap at the throat. Two-way zipper down the center, diagonal welt pockets with exposed zips - all hardware aged to match the leather's vintage soul. Raglan sleeves keep the shoulders smooth and unconstructed. Gathered elasticated cuffs and hem band add subtle crinkle texture at the finishes, already showing the compression marks that prove this leather is alive.

Each jacket carries the map of its own creation - dye pools where seams slowed the liquid, fade lines where tension pulled the color thin. What you wear is autobiography, written in leather by Bologna's artisans.
