Daniele Basta is known for bags and belts - objects where leather and precious metal have an obvious relationship. The PAT trousers take that vocabulary somewhere less expected. These are cropped wide-leg leather pants in black, cut with enough room to move without the stiffness that plagues most leather trousers. The natural stretch of the hide allows the silhouette to fall open and relaxed from the thigh down, landing above the ankle with a clean break.
The leather is left unlined, which keeps the interior raw and breathable - the kind of decision that trades polish for honesty. You feel the back of the skin against your own. At the front, two slanted pockets carry discreet 925 sterling silver accents at the entry, small enough to miss at first glance but substantial enough to register under the fingertips. Two patch pockets at the back complete the construction. The surface has a matte hand-feel with subtle textural grain that shifts under changing light, each hide carrying its own natural variations.
