The Venus GRP is a tri-fold wallet built in Daniele Basta's Empoli workshop from milk-toned vegetable-tanned leather - the kind that arrives stiff with tannins and leaves with a chalky, matte warmth that deepens with every pocket carry. The front panel is marked by sterling silver staples, each one cast using the lost-wax method that destroys the mold in the process. No two staples share an identical edge.
Open it and the interior reveals flesh-side leather - the raw underside of the hide, slightly napped, warmer to the touch than the polished exterior. Tonal variation between panels gives each fold a slightly different shade of cream, a natural consequence of hand-finishing with wax rather than spraying with uniform pigment. Fine edge stitching holds the construction tight while the silver hardware carries the aging forward on its own, oxidizing gradually where fingertips meet metal.
