This is Officine Creative's Piece Dyed process: post-construction immersion dyeing out of their Montegranaro workshop, where the assembled shoe enters the dye bath whole. The result is tonal variation that is structurally impossible to reproduce on pre-dyed components - each pair carries a slightly different depth of taupe, heavier at the seams and sole edge.

Ankle boots in deep-dyed taupe leather - the color is applied after the shoe is fully assembled, so the dye penetrates seams and sole edges simultaneously, producing a surface that reads as weathered from the first wear.
